What's your favorite breakfast meal? Mine would have to be waffles! I love those thick, dimpled disks of deliciousness! They just make each day better. But, by far my favorite thing about tasty waffles would have to be the syrup!
Yes, a waffle just isn't a waffle without rich, creamy, tasty syrup. But why does that syrup flavor always have to be traditional maple? Why can't we break down the walls and create a delicious, buttermilk infused syrup that is perfect for any waffle or pancake.

2 cups Sugar
1 cup Butter
3 Tbsp Honeyville Buttermilk Powder
1 cup Water
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla
First, you'll need a large saucepan.
In your large sauce pan, melt butter and sugar and stir together.
Next, add buttermilk powder and water and bring to a boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat, add baking soda and vanilla, and stir until completely combined. Syrup will bubble and foam up. Drizzle over your favorite waffle or pancake, and enjoy!
