Pumpkin Gingerbread
















Gingerbread. Few things are as festive as this sweet, molasses-infused dish. Whether baked up as cookies, cakes, or muffins, there's just something about this flavorful treat that gets us all in the mood for colorful lights, chilly weather, and freshly fallen snow.

Yes, Gingerbread is the first official sign that the Holidays are here! But what if you still want to hold on to those Fall flavors a bit more? What if you want to squeeze a little bit more Autumn out of your life? Isn't there some way you can enjoy Fall and Winter at the same time? With today's recipe, you can!

Using our super versatile, and absolutely amazing Alta Artisan Flour, we've created the perfect dish that combines that Holiday spirit with a little splash of Autumn. Warm, fluffy, and oh so delicious, this is the perfect dish to transition you out of baked turkey and leftover trick-or-treat candy and into decked halls, wrapped presents, and the scent of Evergreen! Grab your apron, we're baking up Pumpkin Gingerbread!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Ginger
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 cup Pumpkin Puree
1/2 cup Butter, melted
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Molasses
2 Eggs
3 Tbsp Water

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and whisk together until fully combined.

In a large bowl combine pumpkin puree, butter, brown sugar, molasses, eggs, and water and beat together with an electric hand mixer until full combined.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat together until a thick batter forms.

Add batter to your greased USA Pan Large Loaf Pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Remove and let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and allow to cool another 20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Light, fluffy, delicious, and full of so much aroma and flavor, you won't know which season you're in! The rich gingerbread taste rings through the entire loaf, but that hint of delicious pumpkin makes you feel like Fall is still in the air.
