Pull Apart Peach Bread
















Have I mentioned how much I love our Scone Mix? Not only does it make exquisite, delicious scones, but as we've shown here on our blog, it also serves as a great basic dough recipe for pizza, calzones, and dumplings. Putting it simply, our scone mix can make just about anything!

Take today's recipe, for example. with a little help from our scrumptious Freeze Dried Peaches, we've created a delicious, gooey, over-the-top pull apart bread that is sure to knock your socks off and make your taste buds dance with delight. All this from a simple scone mix? You better believe it! Grab your apron, it's time for Pull Apart Peach Bread!

Ingredients:
3 cups Honeyville Gourmet Scone Mix
2 1/2 tsp SAF Yeast
1 cup Warm Water
1/2 cup Sugar
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Peaches

Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
4 tsp Water

Directions:
First, prepare your scone mix.

In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let yeast activate for 3-5 minutes. Add scone mix and, using your Danish Dough Whisk, mix until a sticky dough forms.

Pour out dough on a hard surface and knead for 5 minutes, or until dough is smooth and soft. Place back in bowl, cover, and let sit for 30-40 minutes.

While dough is sitting, mix sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small ball.

Next, re-hydrate peaches by soaking in water until soft, then draining any excess liquid.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Remove dough and roll out on a hard surface. Spread melted butter on dough, then sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture over the top.

Next spread peaches evenly over dough, the slice dough into evenly-shaped strips.

Take each strip and stack it on top of the other.

Next, using your W├╝sthof Bench Scraper, cut the strips into square segments.

Place dough segments in your USA Pan Small Loaf Pan, cover, and let rise for 20-30 minutes.

Once risen, place in oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

While bread is baking, make glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, vanilla, and water. Once bread is finished, remove from oven and, while still warm, drizzle glaze on top. Serve warm.
