Dutch Oven Pull Apart Rolls
















I love campfire cooking, don't you? That rich aroma of burning wood and smokey goodness, combined with the smells of baked meals and treats is always a sign that Spring and Summer are officially here! Don't you wish you could have that right now? Isn't there a way we could speed up the calendar and enjoy a delicious, campfire treat today?

Yes there is, and believe it or not, you don't need the campfire to do it! Using a traditional Dutch Oven and a favorite Honeyville recipe, we've created a treat that brings all that flavor and taste of campfire dishes to your home, without all the smokey clothes and burning eyes. Warm, fluffy, delicious, and easy to make, it's time to bake up some Dutch Oven Pull Apart Rolls!

Ingredients:
3 cups Warm Water
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1 Egg
1/3 cup Sugar
1 Tbsp Salt
6-8 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
3 Tbsp SAF Yeast

Yields: 7-12 rolls, depending on size of Dutch Oven

Directions:
First, make your dough.

Using your BOSCH Universal Mixer, and with help from the BOSCH Dough Hook Extender, add the following ingredients in this order: water, butter, egg, sugar, salt, 4 cups flour, and yeast. Turn mixer to #2 setting and, while ingredients are mixing, slowly add remaining flour until dough begins to pull away from the sides. Let dough knead in machine for 3-4 minutes.

Remove dough from machine, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise.

Once dough is double in size, punch down and remove.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Divide dough into small balls.

Grease the inside of your Dutch Oven with butter.

Roll divided dough parts into rolls, then place in Dutch Oven. Depending on the size of your Dutch Oven, you may be able to fit anywhere from 7-12 rolls inside. Brush tops with melted butter, then place lid on top.

Place Dutch Oven in your oven and bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove lid and let tops brown for 2-3 minutes, then remove from oven.

Let rolls cool for 5 minutes in Dutch Oven, then remove, so they won't burn.
