Almond Flour Microwave English Muffin

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to have a healthy breakfast? Whether it's rushing the kids off to school, taking care of some early morning tasks, or even just getting ready for work, our mornings seem to be the busiest times of our day. Why can't there be a delicious, mouth-watering breakfast that is not only healthy for us, but super easy and quick to make?

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is such a dish! Made with our highly popular Blanched Almond Flour, this gluten-free, grain-free, paleo dish is not only super delicious, it's also extremely fast and easy to make. In truth, it only takes 4 minutes to bake up. That's right, you can have a healthy, homemade breakfast in just 4 minutes! Grab a whisk, it's time to whip up an Almond Flour Microwave English Muffin!

3 Tbsp Honeyville Blanched Almond Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 Tbsp Applesauce
1 Egg
3 Tbsp Almond Milk
Pinch of Salt

Yields: 1 muffin

Take a large ramekin or bowl and spray with cooking spray.


Add almond flour and baking powder and whisk together until combined.


Add apple sauce, egg, almond milk, and salt, and whisk until a smooth, thin batter forms.

Place in microwave and cook for 4 minutes.


Remove, allow to cool, then pop out of bowl and enjoy.


This english muffin is not only simple and easy to make, it is full of tons of flavor and texture. After baking, you can toast it up for that traditional serving style, and add a little jelly for added taste. This english muffin is completely gluten-free, paleo, and oh so good! And did we mention it only takes 4 minutes, in the microwave, to bake? How cool is that?!

This sounds delicious. What is the diameter of the ramekin? I'm sure I would have something similar if I knew the size.

You can really use any size, but we used a 4 inch bowl.

I don't have a microwave. How long and at what temp in a toaster oven?

Hi Karen! This recipe actually wouldn't work in the toaster. You need the microwave to be able to cook the muffin completely. So sorry.
