Hot Cocoa Hazelnut Biscotti
















There's nothing better than a warm cup of Hot Cocoa on a cold winter's day, don't you agree? That creamy, delicious flavor always hits the spot and makes the snow just melt away, figuratively of course. Now, add a plate of cookies to dip in that hot cocoa and you've got the perfect winter snack!

Imagine, if you will, a Holiday treat that combines the rich taste of hot cocoa with the crisp crunch of your favorite dipping cookie. Just think of the possibilities! Well, here at the Honeyville blog, we've created just the cookie! Using our very popular Hazelnut Hot Cocoa flavor, we've baked a tasty, mouth-watering cookie that you can enjoy dipped in your favorite warm cup of cocoa, or just by itself. Happiness has never tasted so good! Grab your apron, it's time to create some Hot Cocoa Hazelnut Biscotti cookies!

Ingredients:
2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
3/4 cup Honeyville Hazelnut Hot Cocoa
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
3 Eggs
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Slivered Almonds, toasted
3/4 cup Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Dry-Ingredients











In a small bowl, whisk together flour, hot cocoa, baking soda, and salt.

Wet-Ingredients











In a large bowl, beat together eggs, sugar, and vanilla.

Batter











Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until batter forms. Drop in almonds and chocolate chips and stir until combined.

Batter-on-Sheet











Shape dough into log form and place on your USA Pan Cookie Sheet, lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Sliced











Once finished, remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes. Using your Wüsthof Classic Double-Serrated Knife, slice loaf into long strips.

Ready-To-Bake











Place strips back on cookie sheet, facing up. Place back in the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Make sure to flip on to other side half-way through that time. Remove, and serve!
