Best of all, it makes a ton of spread! Grab some empty jelly jars, it's time for Homemade Chocolate Hazelnut Spread!

Ingredients:
3 cups Honeyville Hazelnut Flour
3/4 cup Coconut Oil
1/4 cup Sugar
1 32 oz bag Cacao Chips
1/2 cup Butter (1 stick)
1 cup Heavy Cream
3/4 tsp Salt

Directions:
First, make your hazelnut spread.

Ingredients in Food Processor

To do so, combine hazelnut flour, coconut oil, and sugar in your BOSCH Food Processor attachment.

Hazelnut Butter

Blend ingredients until a thick, smooth butter forms.

Melted Chocolate

In a double boiler, melt butter and cacao chips together until you have a smooth, rich chocolate.

Spread Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine chocolate, hazelnut butter, heavy cream, and salt.

Warm Spread

Mix together until a smooth, thin spread forms.

Pouring in Jars

Using 5-6 jelly jars, fill each jar to the top with your spread. Allow to sit for 4-6 hours to solidify, or place in the refrigerator to speed up the process. Once spread has cooled and thickened up, serve on your favorite baked treat.

How long will the spread remain good? What kind of shelf life does it have? Opened/unopened? Thanks!

Hi Tana! Stored in a cool, dry place, this spread should last no longer than 6 months. Stored in the refrigerator, you could probably stretch it to 9 months. Thanks for the question!

Can this be made with a sugar substitute such as Splenda or Stevia?

Hi Judy! Yes, I think you would have no problem using a sugar substitute in this recipe. Let us know how it turns out!
