6-Grain Pumpkin Granola Bars Recipe

Fall is all about baking! As the temperature drops and the leaves change colors, ovens all across the country begin baking some of the sweetest, most aromatic treats we see all year. Something about cooler whether just seems to get all of us in the baking mood!

If you're anything like me, all this baking gets you excited to try new ingredients and experiment with new recipes! And with the Pumpkin as the official mascot of Fall, all those experiments seem to be centered around pumpkin-flavored delights! I found this recipe at mybakingaddiction.com and couldn't help but put a Honeyville twist on it. The biggest change you ask? Using our delicious 6-Grain Cereal mix instead of typical Rolled Oats. Let me tell you, this changed, along with a few others, did not disappoint when it came to taste! Try it for yourself! It's the perfect morning treat for Fall!

Ingredients:
3 cups Honeyville 6 Grain Cereal Mix
2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 tsp Salt
3/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
1 1/4 cup Honeyville Powdered Peanut Butter + 4 Tbsp Water
1/4 cup Agave Nectar
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Grapes
1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
1/4 cup Honeyville Sunflower Seeds

Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 6 grain cereal, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Mix together, and set aside.

In a separate mixing bowl, add brown sugar, pumpkin puree, agave, vanilla, and 1/4 cup of your peanut butter mix. Whisk together until fully combined and smooth.

Pour wet mix over dry mix and mix together until completely combined.

Add grapes, pecans, and sunflower seeds and mix until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Take a brownie pan and line with parchment paper. Spray the parchment paper lightly with cooking spray.

Pour in mixture, and with another piece of parchment paper, press down on mixture until it is flat and evenly distributed in the pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Remove and place directly on a wire rack to cool.

Once it has cooled for 10 minutes, begin to slice up your pieces.

Use a large enough knife to ensure even slices throughout. Serve.

This is exactly what you've been looking for each Fall morning. The sweet taste of pumpkin with the subtle hint of spice brings back memories of mom's sweet Fall treats. The 6 Grain cereal mix is the perfect companion for this recipe and holds everything together perfectly. Serve these for breakfast, as on-the-go Fall snacks, or just as a special treat each day. You won't be disappointed.

Yes, baking season is upon us, and this is just the snack to get things started!
