Easy Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Even really good days can be long and hard.  So let's just eat some rich and creamy Chocolate Mousse!  This treat was whipped up in just a few minutes and was just the thing I needed after a long, hot (but good) day.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Honeyville Chocolate Pudding Mix
2 cups cold Milk
1 cup Honeyville Insta-Whip Mix
1 cup Ice Water

Directions:
Combine the chocolate pudding mix and the milk in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.

Refrigerate pudding while making the whipped topping.  In a separate bowl combine the Insta-Whip mix with the ice water.

Using an electric mixer, beat on high (about 2-4 minutes) until peaks form.

Reserve about 1/2 cup of the whipped topping for garnish.  Carefully fold the remaining whipped topping in with the pudding mixture.

Spoon into individual serving dishes.

Top with a dollop of whipped topping.

Serve immediately or keep chilled in the refrigerator.

And if you like chocolate like I do feel free to add a little drizzle of chocolate sauce right on top!

All my taste testers wanted extra tastes, you know, just to make SURE it was super delicious!  This dessert is light, creamy, and really flavorful.  I think if you wanted to forgo the individual dishes that it'd be dynamite as a pie!  You could even use this mousse as a great cupcake filling.  Yum!

What is your go to treat after a long day?

Happy Eating!
