Wheat Germ Muffins Recipe

I think I have told you before that when I look at a recipe and if it has more than 4-6 ingredients I move on and cross that off my list. Don't be scared by this recipe- though it has more than 4 ingredients, the truth is- it is still super easy and the result is AMAZING! So make these tonight when the sun goes down, after a long day, save them until you wake up tomorrow and you will be pleasantly surprised and relieved when you take a bite and not only do you not have to think about breakfast, but your taste buds will be begging for more!!!

Ingredients:

Glaze:
3 Tbsp. Sugar
3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
3 Tbsp. Butter (slightly melted)
2 tsp. Water

Muffins:
1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1.4 tsp. Salt
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp. Molasses
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
3/4 cup Water
2 tsp. Grated Orange Zest

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together all ingredients of glaze. Spread into each slot (bottom and sides) on the muffin tin (makes 12).  Set aside.
Mix together all ingredients to make muffins and mix well.  Fill muffin tins about 2/3 way full and bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Immediately invert the baked muffins onto foil or wax paper to cool.

Spread the glaze into each slot

Mix ingredients together to make batter

Fill up those glazed muffin slots with batter

Bake and then turn upside to cool- don't you just want to grab one now and eat? They were SOOOOO yummy! I might just make them again right now!!
