Thai Peanut Noodle

I am SOOOOOOOO excited to say that the Retail Stores have Peanut Butter Powder!! We have been waiting a long time for this amazing product and it is FINALLY here!!! And it truly is amazing! The first recipe I tried with it was Thai Peanut Noodles. The original recipe came from ourbestbites.com, then I tweaked it using Honeyville items. It was delicious and now I can't wait to make some Peanut Butter cookies!

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

8 oz.  Linguine or Udon Noodles

1/2 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Peas

1/2 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Asparagus

Dressing:

3/4 cup Honeyville's Powdered Peanut Butter

3 Tbls Water

1 lime, juiced and zested

2 1/2 tsp. Sesame Oil

1 Tbls Red Wine Vinegar

2 Tbls. Soy Sauce

3 Tbls. Honeyville Granulated Honey

1 tsp. Minced Garlic

1 Tbls. Ginger

1/2 cup Chopped Cilantro

1/2 cup Vegetable Oil

1/4 tsp. Kosher Salt

2 tsp. Sriracha Chili Sauce

2 Tbls. Water

#10 Can Dehydrated Refried Bean Flakes

This product is made from pinto beans, salt, and onions.  These Beans barely got off the delivery truck before customers wanted to buy them at our Rancho Cucamonga, CA store.  Sure to be popular at all of our locations!  Great for dips, fillings, etc.

#10 Can Freeze Dried Monterey Jack Cheese

This product was super fun to work with and it is so yummy.
I am always impressed that the freeze dried cheese tastes so good.

#10 Can Powdered Peanut Butter

This really does taste like Peanut Butter.  Really easy to use--just add water and stir!

Vegetarian Black Bean Enchiladas

Another rumor I have been hearing is that Honeyville's Barley is going to be put into #10 can's sometime in the near future! Right now we sell it in a 2.5 pound bag or a 50 pound bag. So how great will it be to have it canned and ready for long term shelf life soon? Anyway, I made these DELICIOUS Vegetarian Enchiladas with the Pearled Barley...and seriously, they were Delicious! I think they are going on the dinner menu this week! Here is the recipe:

Ingredients: 

12- 6'' Flour or Corn Tortillas (they are both yummy!)

2 cups Honeyville's Barley-cooked

2 cups Honeyville's Black Beans-cooked

2 cups Honeyville's Freeze Dried Bell Peppers (not re-hydrated)

1/4 cup Water

1 packet Taco Seasoning

2 1/2 cups Salsa, divided

3/4 cups Honeyville's Freeze Dried Mozzarella Cheese

3/4 cups Honeyville's Freeze Dried Cheddar Cheese

This is a great product to use in your cooking and baking. For drinking I still recommend using Honeyville's Milk Substitute.  The Instant Non Fat Milk is an excellent source of Protein, Calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin A.  If kept in the sealed #10 can under ideal storage conditions, it has a shelf life of 3-5 years; once opened use this product in 3 months.

The Retail Stores now have Egg Noodles in #10 cans!!! Already packaged for a long-term shelf life...how wonderful is that!?! As always, with a new product, comes a new recipe!!! I made Chicken Noddle Casserole and it turned out pretty yummy!!

Chicken Noodle Casserole 

8 oz. Honeyville's Egg Noodles

5 Tbls Honeyville's Non-fat Fortified Dry Milk & 1 1/4 cup water

1 cup Honeyville's Freeze Dried Mushrooms

1 cup Honeyville's Freeze Dried Corn

1 cup Honeyville's Freeze Dried Green Beans

1 cup Honeyville's Freeze Dried Peas

1 cup Honeyville's Dehydrated Onions

3 cups Honeyville's Freeze Dried Chicken

1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese
